NGIP Agmark has sponsored the Gurias team since its inception in 1991 and then took over as the naming rights sponsor and franchise owner in 1999 by the Late John Nightingale passionately known as Papa Guria, to become the most successful club in the inter-city competition

The Agmark Gurias represent the East New Britain Province, and are based out of the main town of Kokopo. The Agmark Gurias are locally cheered on as the Pride of East New Britain representing the province in the Country’s semi-professional rugby league competition, currently known as the Digicel Cup
